These terms cover your use of Digital Protractor (digitalprotractor.com). By opening and using the tool, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. Description of service

Digital Protractor provides a free, browser-based tool for measuring angles on user-supplied photos, diagrams, and blueprints, including ray-based protractors, angle snapping, undo/redo, and PNG/CSV export. The service requires no account and is provided "as is," free of charge, with no paid tier.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use Digital Protractor only for lawful purposes. You won't attempt to disrupt or overload the service, reverse engineer it beyond what applicable law permits, or use it in a way that infringes the rights of others.

3. Your content

Any photo, diagram, or blueprint you load into the tool is processed entirely in your own browser and is never uploaded to our servers — see the Privacy Policy for details. You retain all rights to your own content; we claim no ownership or license over anything you measure with the tool.

4. Accuracy disclaimer

Digital Protractor measures the angle between the rays you position — its precision depends entirely on how carefully you place them. It is provided for general, everyday measurement and reference use. For anything safety-critical, load-bearing, or regulatory (structural work, certified inspections, medical or legal measurement, etc.), verify results with a calibrated physical instrument or a qualified professional before relying on them.

5. No warranty

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Digital Protractor and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service — including decisions made based on a measurement taken with the tool.

7. Intellectual property

The Digital Protractor name, design, and underlying code are the property of its operator, except where otherwise noted. You may use the hosted tool for its intended purpose; you may not copy, resell, or redistribute the site itself without permission.

8. Changes to the service or these terms

We may update, add to, or remove features from the tool at any time, and may revise these terms as it evolves. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Material updates will change the "last updated" date above.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of Digital Protractor, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, to the extent permitted in your jurisdiction.
